Privacy

Deskwijs is a website by Simon van Rens. I collect as little data as possible. Here is exactly what happens.

Google Analytics

Only with your consent, I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited and where visitors come from. Without consent, Analytics does not load. Advertising features and Google Signals are off. I do not sell or share the data.

Microsoft Clarity

Also only with consent, I use Microsoft Clarity. It shows where visitors click and how far they scroll, and can record sessions. Anything you type in forms is masked. It helps me see where the site is unclear.

Own statistics

If you accept, Deskwijs also measures how pages are used: where you click, how far you scroll and which questions you open. Your browser stores a random number for this (not a cookie). No names, email addresses or IP addresses are stored, and the data is deleted after one year. It is kept on a Hostinger server and not shared.

You can change your choice at any time in the cookie settings.

Affiliate links

When you click a link to a store or software company, you go to their website. They may set their own cookies to see you came from Deskwijs. Their privacy policy applies. Deskwijs itself sets no cookies for this.

Hosting

The site runs on Hostinger. Like every web server, it keeps technical logs (such as IP address and time) for security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

You can ask which data I hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email hallo@deskwijs.com. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
